Middle School Boys Basketball vs. Boston Trinity - Loss 48-20

In their first game of the 2016-2017 basketball season, the ISB Middle School Boys traveled to Boston Baptist College on Friday, December 2nd, in Hyde Park, to face off against Boston Trinity Academy. While 8th Grader Elliot Miller lead the way on offense with 16 points it was a total team effort that had to be commended. Yakov Perlov, another 8th grader, and Sebastian Altomare, a 6th grader, battled in the paint and on the boards against a strong and active group from Boston Trinity. Mateo Valencony ran the point and played exceptional on ball defense disrupting much of the offensive sets Boston Trinity wanted to run. The game was close at the half with Boston Trinity leading 18-12. In the second half, the tough play continued but Boston Trinity surged ahead with big run and went on to take the victory with a 48-20 final score. The boys from ISB showed a great deal of grit and determination and togetherness, which bodes well for the potential of the upcoming season.
