The Middle School Fencing Team had its first competition against Belmont Day School on Thursday, January 17th. We lost 11-16. In the competition, all of our junior fencers had their first match. Emilio Bankier won his two bouts 5-2 and 5-1. Louis Lelievre won his first match ever 5-2 by executing elegant parry-riposte actions. Annika Kappler came very close to winning her first bout only losing in the last action 5-4. Congratulations to everybody. Our next competition is on Thursday, January 24th. Onwards!
