Last night against CATS Academy, the ISB Varsity Boys' Soccer team suffered their first loss (5-1) of the season. Their record is now two wins, and one loss. It was a game of two halves. CATS scored in the first few minutes of the game, putting the ball over the top to their striker, who slotted his shot home into the far left corner. CATS then continued to dominate the midfield, and scored three more goals before the end of the first half. But, in the second half, ISB continued fighting, and captain Elias Maiza scored a solo goal, dribbling down the right wing and blasting the ball into the right corner.
It is going to be a difficult week for the team, with two more games fast approaching. First, on Wednesday, September 26th, ISB will travel to Dexter, and then on Friday, September 28th, the boys will play against BU Academy, under the bright lights of Nickerson Field.
