The ISB boys varsity team kicked off their season in style with a 53-22 victory at home against BU Academy on Friday, December 2nd. This year's squad is completely revamped with the loss of some senior leadership and the transfer of their starting point guard.
Returning star scorer Kiwi Rajan and defensive dynamo Thomas Guichemerre are book ended with a slew of young talent to make up this year's squad.
Led by the scoring of Rajan and point guard duties of newcomer Mario Denis, the Blue Terriers led wire to wire in this contest. Rajan rained down threes and drives to the bucket to lead the scoring with 18 pts. Other key contributors were Charles Wirth and Kasper de Boek in their first real varsity action at ISB.
There is a lot of shooting and offensive firepower on this year's roster for the boys team and promises to put up some big numbers offensively once they get their feet wet.
Their next contest will come at home against Salem Academy on Monday, December 5th.
