On Thursday, February 28th, both the Middle School Basketball Girls' and Boys' Teams played double header games in a "March Madness" event versus the British International School of Boston (BISB). The games were exciting, fun, and a true celebration of basketball for both schools, their families and fans.
The Middle School Girls' Basketball A & B Teams joined forces to win 12-7 in the final minutes versus BISB. Players demonstrated flexibility, patience and determination as they played in mixed shifts with both A & B team players. All 28 players played and contributed for a great team win! The energy from players on the bench, since shifts were short, was also huge factor in lifting the team to a victory in the end.
Twelve players compiled statistics including scoring, assists, rebounds and steals/interceptions - very impressive for a group who has not played together during the season! Eight of the twelve points were from our youngest players: Sabina Kaba (4 points), Katlin De Boeck (2 points), and Chloe Angel (2 points). Eighth graders Alice Kaba had 2 points and 5 rebounds while Mathilde Kaldi contributed with 2 points, 2 rebounds and 2 steals.
