On Thursday, January 24th, the Middle School Girls' Basketball B team had a scrimmage against the German International School of Boston (GISB). We thank three of our players (Katlin, Emma, and Meyline), who volunteered to play for the other team as they were short in numbers and experience. With this, the two teams were fairly evenly matched. Our team took advantage of this scrimmage opportunity to practice zone defense, a skill new to our girls and which needed much work! We were up on the scoreboard during most of the game, but GISB had four interceptions in a row near the end of the game and capitalized on them, scoring 8 points in about one minute. We thus lost with a final score of 19-24. Highlights of the game include Sabina's 17 points, Katlin's 6 points for the other team and Emma's first 3-pointer ever, also for the other team.
We are playing again today, Friday, January 25th against the Winsor School, on their court.
