The ISB Blue Terriers team had a quick and early Saturday morning turnaround to face Chapel Hill Chauncy Hall at 10am on Saturday, December 10th. The Terriers played and up and down effort to come out on top 37-34 against a familiar foe in Chapel Hill.
For much of the game, the final score didn't seem in doubt. The Blue Terriers led this one wire to wire but as seems to always be the case on the road in Chapel Hill, the final score was much too close for comfort.
Led by Kiri Rajan's 16 and Mario Denis' 10, the Blue Terriers held the Chargers down and got them in significant foul trouble.
The Blue Terriers came out after halftime with a stifling defense that completely swarmed the tall, athletic young scorer who was the Charger offensive focal point. The lead stretched to double digits as the boys took control of this one.
Unfortunately, the ball passing woes that plagued them against Eagle Hill, reared their ugly head as this game went on. Faced with some pressing defense, the Terriers allowed the Chargers to fight back into the game.
The Blue Terriers made just enough defensive stops in the last few minutes to keep their lead and escape with a narrow victory to pull back to .500 at 2-2 with the win.
The next game for the Blue Terriers will be Thursday, December 15th on the road against Greater Boston Academy in their final game before Holiday Break.
